We also had to produce photo i.d. for the first time...makes it harder to game the system. Also the localities in Virginia are now using paper ballots/optically scanned in place of the black box digital ones.

Virginia was one of the states mention in the 250 page report issued by the INdiana Secretary of State when he decertified a certain electronic voting machine before the 2012 election. Looks like they got the message late but at least they got the message. We switched to your current system just before 2012 election. Our election clerk who first discovered the black box problem has recently accepted a position with the paper ballot machine company to work several states.
Things are happening! YEAH!

Very low turnout in my precinct. In and out in 5 minutes. Voter ID, check. Paper bubble in ballot that you then feed into a machine, check. Your name is entered into a computer which spits out a receipt. The receipt is then presented to a person who give you a ballot. To overstuff a box you would need a list of those that hadn’t voted yet and a co-conspirator in the person handling the ballots.
