It also explains why they are bad drivers - they have very little ability to take personal responsibility.

Asians on average live in big cities so don't get much practice driving above 5 mph. The political interests and skills of city dwellers are very different than people that live in the country. City commune dwellers of all stripes on average vote for communist values, and mostly ride government transportation. Country people on average vote for lower taxes and a smaller government payroll, and have millions of hours experience operating vehicles and heavy machinery.

“They” is me. I am Asian and over the years have personally met 10,000 Asians living in USA. I served as president of Greater Chicago India Association. By the way Asians does not mean only orientals. Asia includes most of Russia & turkey & Iran & Saudi Arabia & India & China & Japan. Asia is by far the largest continent on earth.

That's true to many people and to Europeans, but most Americans will consider Asians to be from the Orient, the racial group, and then talk of Indians and Middle Easterners, Russians, Arabs, and various nations, etc. That how most immigrants groups are thought of rather than being of one huge group called Asians.

I didn't read about Trump on this -- TRUMP IS A PUTZ -- That was so incredibly stupid and so off-putting to any American to be asked "ok, you look different, are you from xxx country" -- what was the point of even asking this?

In my opinion Asian-Americans (and that's really just a wide group of people) are natural Republicans. The only reason they aren't is because of media and by silly nuts like Trump making these statements

They are family oriented, meritocratic and highly educated, but they have been convinced that the GOP is against them -- that perception (and I call it a perception) has to change. This change will not be by giving out handouts but by changing the language -- the GOP should be actively calling out for end to discrimination in education and pointing out that the GOP has more Asian American governors than the Dems.
