Absolutely. I’ve known many people who’ve lost beloved dogs and cats to them. Not to mention livestock.

Yes we have them in a greenbelt that surrounds our neighborhood. We have coydogs. Larger and no fear of humans. Have had several run ins with them while walking the dog at night. The cops told Mr. GG2 to just shoot them.

Coyotes are fair game in Illinois. It is open season on them all year round, though in certain urban areas the means of taking them are severely limited. In more rural areas...well, fire away!
