I believe they offered him an accommodation on his own, but he said he felt ‘singled out’ and demanded to use the girls locker room.

I think I heard that the school put in a private shower for him, but that wasn’t good enough.

“Others” is appropriate because these demented beings don’t really belong in either locker room. They are a potential menace to both sexes. ‘Course if you put them alone together all kinds of hanky panky is likely to happen, but what else can you do?
A lot of the ones I see wandering around in town here belong on a psych ward. When I see one of them especially dolled up I just think “that’s a human with nothing left to lose”.
