I decided Beckle was a good guy (politics aside) when I heard Tony Snow’s angry response to a caller who slimed Beckel big time. In fact it is the only time I remember Tony angry on the air.
Tony said Beckel was a very good friend and a truly good man. I trusted his judgment. Beckel can be rough around the edges and vulgar at times. I abhor his politics. But like I said, I trusted Tony’s judgment.
When Beckel was on The Five, there were times I saw what Tony meant.
Thank you for posting that. Tony Snow was a wonderful man, and I had the utmost respect for him.

It is just so tempting to point fingers at people we disagree with and whose ideas are so different from ours, and inwardly cry, “Sinner!”
Problem is, we become the pot calling our own kettle black.
It is not OUR works that redeem us from the curse of sin; it is Christ’s work—and His alone!

Right. But Cal can’t put ONE thing in his article that would illustrate how Beckel “isn’t the man we think he is”?
