Rick Santorum wasn't even an Evangelical, and Mormon Mitt got most of their support as soon as he won the nomination.

Dr. Carson isn't an evangelical either. You are calling them stupid when more people voted for Romney himself! Who in the 2012 field should anti-Romney people have voted for. Gingrich ran a lousy campaign outside of South Carolina. Perry and Cain imploded. Ron Paul was Ron Paul.

I'm not an evangelical, and I happily voted for Santorum. He was as good a candidate as there was for 2012. His biggest problem was a lack of money. Largely because he doesn't sell out to rich people. He was a good man who would have hit Obama harder than Romney could.

Therein lies the last irony. Carson is SDA, with all that nonsense they support. But remember, they are voting for the guy who sounds the most religious!

Trust me, Rick Santorum was the Ben Carson of that season. He had no ideas. He stood in front of a banner that said "courageous," then explained how courageous he was. What kind of dummy votes for someone who has to remind you how courageous and religious they were?

As for "who" they should have supported? Obviously, the only logical choice would have been Newt, even with all his baggage. He actually had a platform. Santorum had Porno at the top of his Issues page for months.
