Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton called for an investigation into ExxonMobil after the gas company cut off its donations to the Clinton Foundation.
The Clinton Foundation has taken at least $1 million from ExxonMobil and co-sponsored the Foundation’s 2014 annual meeting. But the company decided not to co-sponsor the Foundation’s annual meeting in New York City in late September 2015, according to a report by International Business Times.
With the cash faucet cut off, Clinton took the opportunity to appeal to climate-change activists calling for an investigation into ExxonMobil’s business practices.

You have to look at how the story rolled out.
In Sept, two independent sources published reports that Exxon internally investigated the issue(CO2 and global warming), but decided to cover it up.
So some democrats began calling for a federal investigation. Among the dem candidates, O'Malley would be the first(Oct 18) to call for an investigation. Then Sanders(Oct 20). And finally Clinton(Oct 30).
The dems criticize Hillary because she is a corporatist democrat aka a DLC democrat. They say she is head of the republican wing of the democrat party, and the fact that she was tardy in calling for the Exxon investigation proves it.
I can only hope and pray that America doesn’t choose to be led by the likes of her.

Recall, it was the Clinton Whitehouse that extorted billions from Big Tobacco and it was to reimburse the taxpayer.
Clintons decided to skip out on the taxpayer and collect the shakedown fees themselves.
These Clintons are very enterprising and savy politicians who are not afraid of being smeared as criminals since there is not controlling legal authority.

If Hillary does lose, it will be interesting to see how she/Clinton Machine makes up for all of those ‘contributors’ who would fail to get preferential status from the non-Hillary presidency.
