Yes and no.

Orel Herscheiser of the 1988 Dodgers comes to mind, a generation ago.

That was an amazing performance in 1988. He went 3-0 with a 1.05 ERA. Two shutouts in five starts, and he came in for a save in the NLCS, too. He was also 3-for-3 at the plate in the World Series, with an RBI and a run scored.

Not even close. Herscheiser only won two games. Baumgartner dominated three, pitching five scoreless innings on two days' rest in game 7.
