I have some sympathy for part of this exodus out of the middle east because there is almost hope for freedom there, doomsday may be upon them. W. Bush was doing something right in his follow-up comparing administrations.
In fact, you really got to wonder whose advice Obama follows or if he is just giving orders and nothing else is taken into account. Either way some poor decisions are coming out of there and you’d think someone would wise up and resign to just not be a part of it.

It’s hard to maintain sympathy. I had it for the Iraqi but they pissed democracy and freedom away in favor of their tribal units. I also lost it over the Muslims who were celebrating in the streets over 9-11.
It just may be those people are not ready for freedom or democracy. The reason we have it here is because so many people wanted it and were willing to fight for it. That can’t be said for Iraq, Iran and other countries with the exception of Israel. (Even though some, like Jordan, don’t have it as bad as others.)
