"The plan will ensure our veterans get the care they need, wherever and whenever they need it," he said.

This should have been enacted years ago for Veterans and it's a disgrace it wasn't.

DC is rotten to the core.

Go Trump!

Yup. I stayed away from the VA so that others in more need could get care but circumstances are always changing. Mine changed due to my former employer dumping those over 65 on medicare. The only med I take I used to get through retiree medical mail order for $40 for a 90 day supply. Now with my new medicare supplement part D, with insurance it’s merely $1200 for a 30 day supply. Certainly not within my budget. I know about the donut hole and the maximum out of pocket, but if you don’t have the money up front, it doesn’t do you any good. So, I managed to get into the VA health system and they don’t take outside scripts so, my new VA primary doc won’t write one because it’s out of his scope. So, specialist appointment made but the primary said the specialist is an older gentlemen and may not want to write it either and just tell me to “Put some ointiment on it.” So, I guess I’ll need to document it with my outside doc and bring “proof” that I’ve been on it for 8+ years it is necessary for me to have it. We shall see.
