Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke about his opposition to the budget and debt ceiling agreement. He was critical of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), President Obama, and Senate Democrats over the deal.
It was long but very good. Watch it in “littles” if you must but watch. Actually, a little scary when you realize what is really happening to our country and know that the jig is in with this budget deal - we’re toast. Even if Cruz won the next presidential election he shows why it will be very difficult to change things going forward. He really blasts McTurtle.
He spoke longer than the filibuster lasted.
I hadn’t finished myself yet, but he is the first candidate in decades I am actually excited about.

Well worth the listen. Cruz minced no words. He basically held the GOPe in contempt for their lies to the American people. He exposed the facts that the GOP leadership has done more to help and protect Obama than members of his own party have done in the middle of lying to the American people and saying that their hands were tied unless they could get a majority. PRAISE GOD for this! I know some conservatives are upset as well, feeling that he might’ve overstepped the bounds of courtesy, but Cruz is drawing the line between the DC crowd mentality towards the American people and the DC mentality to do favors for each other. The only zip codes in America outside Hollywood that are doing okay in this economy are the zip codes around DC where all the politicians and lobbyists live.
They have squandered the good will of the people in a way that can only do damage unless the people revolt against them this election and there is a groundswell of voters to elect one of the conservatives in this race. Cruz deserves the nomination in my eyes, as he has the scars and bruises to show for taking a stand. I love it that even on the street, graffiti artists see that there is a “tough guy” out there who stands tall among the rest. I pray the Lord brings him safely through, and if not president this time around, maybe as some suggest, the VP to Trump, maybe.
Thank you Ted Cruz. You keep standing. Hopefully more and more people will actually begin to listen to you and not the critics.

Excellent! Great examples of McConnell doing a better job than Reid in getting Democratic legislation through the Republican majority Senate. McConnell has to be livid!
Four times longer than Rand Paul’s faux filibuster. And he canceled a well promoted large event to give it and to be able to say he voted against it.
