I believe it came from Asia with rats on ships carrying Chinese immigrants in the 1800s. Unless illegals are carrying rodents with them, they don’t have anything to do with the “increase”. I don’t believe humans carry the disease.

Its important to note that there are only a handful of cases every year so it only takes a few to double the number. (2 is twice as many as 1)

Talk about OBTUSE! Plague is carried by live mammals, who die, and the fleas jump to a new host. SPREAD by fleas. Fleas are the vector. Gee, what matches those criteria?

Hmmm, thinking, thinking, thinking... Just suppose some illegal, from some disease ridden Third World toilet, heads north, fleas and all, and shares those fleas with something else with warm blood?

This isn't rocket science.
