I have nothing against adults who choose to live in a tiny house. But forcing their son to live like this is despicable.

The writer of the article doesn't even see any downside to this. The entire article is all happiness and sunshine and smiles.

It looks sort of neat and some people would like it but not me. I have pretty strong claustrophobia.

It would be abusive to house a toy poodle in it.

Kinda depends on the local weather and how much property surrounds it for their use.

Just as there is a move towards free range chickens, humans strive to see how little space they can habituate.

Were cavemen child abusers? They found, or made, a place to shelter the family?

One reason we have massive government spending is because we've made it illegal to be poor. If you live in bad conditions, you can be arrested. So government spends a lot of money to make sure no one ever lives in bad conditions. Because it's illegal to be poor.

And now it's immoral too, I guess. A family chooses to lives in a $30,000 house which looks cozy and well-maintained and quite respectable -- but we see moral outrage and cries of child abuse.

Crazy.

A lot of our forefathers lived in houses about this size out in the heartland of America.

Sometimes with a lot more than one child.

And the aversion would be because....??

Is it we’re NOW 21st century vs. dirt-floored plains cabins, tee-pees or, heaven forbid, cave dwellers?

How long ago was the American family the dad, mom, kids, in-laws (parents), possibly a border/nanny/etc.?

I see a simple, comforting, possibly loving, home w/ all the amenities of the day.

I’ve stayed in vacation cottages that are similar to this and they are very efficient and comfy for what they can offer. The one we stayed in had a full fridge and a loft bedroom besides the “master bedroom” and a sleeper couch. The bathroom was quite roomy. It was a bit bigger than the one shown here.

Not sure I’d enjoy so much “togetherness” day after day, though. LOL!
