EAG – A Texas seventh-grader is standing up for her religious beliefs after she alleges her teacher forced students to deny that God is real, and threatened them with failing grades if they don’t agree.
Jordan Wooley, a seventh grade student at West Memorial Junior High School in the Katy Independent School District, testified at a school board meeting last night about an assignment in her reading class that caused a serious controversy, and expressed frustration about her teacher’s atheist indoctrination.
“Today I was given an assignment in school that questioned my faith and told me that God was not real. Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day. We were asked to take a poll to say whether God is fact, opinion or a myth and she told anyone who said fact or opinion was wrong and God was only a myth,” Wooley told board members.
Students immediately objected, Wooley said, but the teacher refused to consider their position.
“Another student asked the teacher if we could put what we believe in the paper, and she said we could … but you would fail the paper if you do,” Wooley told the board.

Reminds me of the scene in “Europa, Europa”, where the children are in a Soviet school.
The teacher asks them to pray to Jesus for candy...Of course nothing happens.
Then the teacher asks the children to ask Comrade Stalin for candy, and candy comes raining down from the ceiling.
We are getting perilously close to becoming like the Soviet Union.
I had an adjunct professor in a college management class that gave me a bad grade on a paper. It was a D if I remember correctly. Very few corrections, just a D. I set up a meeting and had him explain my grade. When he was done I said......so there was nothing wrong with my paper other than you philosophically don’t agree with my premise. He sat there for a second then pulled out his book and changed it to an A-. Most of them don’t realize their own bias.

Good for you! That was a smart way to approach the biased professor. I know it doesn’t always turn out with a happy ending, but glad yours did.

But in God’s not Dead the professor was teaching college students. These were 7th graders. The atheist teacher has absolutely no business treating grade school students this way.

This teacher isn’t qualified for so much as the position of Toilet Attendant at the Y.

I had a Cuban friend growing up who came over in the early sixties. Castro would do the same thing with ice cream to little kids. Sick.
