The following is an email from the Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee (chairman@fairfaxgop.org)
Fairfax Republicans:
We know we need big changes on the Fairfax County School Board - in case you didn't have enough reasons already, here is one more:
Fairfax County teachers are making information about Democratic candidates and local Democratic Party activities available to students, without providing information about our candidates and our activities.
Hard to believe isn't it? Here are two examples that happened just this fall:
The Blackboard page for a 12th grade US Government class at Woodson High School was used to tell students how they could sign up to volunteer with the Braddock District Democrats. And the Blackboard "Course Materials" section for the class contained a Braddock District Democrats flyer. Needless to say, there was nothing on Blackboard about the Braddock Republicans.
Two West Potomac High School government teachers allowed a representative of Delegate Scott Surovell to speak to students, during class time, about Surovell's Senate campaign. Students were told the address of the campaign office, and that they could go there to get bumper stickers and yard signs. At least three students signed up to volunteer in class. Mayor Jerry Foreman, our candidate opposing Surovell in the 36th Senate District, was not given the same opportunity, even though he had previously asked twice.
These are just two instances that we know of - there are bound to be more. And it happens every year.
This is outrageous: There is no room for partisan politics in public education.
The FCRC has written to the School Board to object to the unfair treatment in both cases. You can find the letter here.
No Democrat-controlled School Board will do anything about this. It is up to us to force a change.
Pass this message on. Make sure you vote this year. Make sure your friends and neighbors vote. Make sure everybody you know votes for all of our Republican-endorsed School Board candidates - and if you live in the 36th Senate District, vote for Jerry Foreman!
For a list of our candidates, please go here. Not all candidates are identified by party - you will need this list.
Most Sincerely,
Matt Ames Chairman
Paid for and authorized by the Fairfax County Republican Committee.
If you live in Fairfax, please check to see which candidates were endorsed by which party before voting on November 3.
Why shouldn’t they do what they do...The Fairfax machine steals every election in Virginia. EVERY election they are the last one who certifies their votes...they just wait until all the other counties certify and then make up the votes they need, although they didn’t have to do it for McAwful last time, but they did for the Lt. Governor and Treasurer. It’s not like the GOPe are going to stop them!
Any photos of these stickers? Seems like it would be fairly easy to "correct" such defaced signs with a sticker overlay to replace the word "ENDORSED" with "UNION ENDORSED"... in Communist Party Red... maybe with a couple hammers and sickles.
Hard to believe?
Nope.
Not in Fairfax - a wholly owned democrat/liberal hell.
Ping!
Fairfax, Falls Church, Arlington, they are all the same. With the huge influx of third worlders into the area, you might as well face facts: it is lost.
I think politicians should be banned from proselytizing at ANY location which receives ANY government money.
Born in what is now the Peoples Socialist Demokratik Workers Paradise of Fairfax, and a Woodson HS grad 40+ years ago, I am embarrassed for the Old Dominion. There is a move afoot to rename Woodson HS, b/c its namesake, a dead, white Fairfax educator, supposedly was ‘racist’...smh
There was a time when the Fairfax County Republican Committee was a force to be reckoned with. But that time was 20 years ago, it died when Pat Mullins retired as Chairman, and Tom Davis and his RINOs put in their puppet as Chair. . . and it’s been downhill ever since.
I left the FCRC in 1997, and Fairfax County entirely in 1998. . .
The Virginia Citizens Defense League sent out an email last night showing the collusion among three Dim candidates to create a controversy about a gun shop opening in northern Virginia. They cited emails obtained by a different group, so I’m waiting for confirmation on this.
Add to that the $2 million being spent by the mommunists in anti-gun ads backing specific Dim candidates, and you get the usual abuse to capture NOVA.
Don’t discount the natives. +65% would vote for Joe Stalin if he had a D behind his name.
BTTT. We’ve got excellent GOP-endorsed School Board candidates to vote for in November.
No.
