My natural pugnacity tends to lead me to take up and continue disagreements on FR for too long. I usually avoid casting them in personal terms though.
We are all human. I have regretted a post or two myself. I try to learn from my mistakes. Some posters are just relentlessly rude. They think bullying is a valid replacement for a sound argument. I think that is the liberal way and I refuse to embrace it.
Like Mark Levin says, we rarely agree with anyone 100% of the time. Of course he doesn’t mean we should be silent in those areas of disagreement.
There is a time for everything under Heaven. A time to fight. A time to refrain from fighting. A time to be outraged. A time to be gentle in opposition. Etc. Some posters are just mindless bulldozers who yell (often with cut and paste posts) but don’t listen.
