Jeb Bush has lately been defending his brother George the former president against Donald Trump's criticism, and George is raising funds for Jeb's presidential campaign. What all this fraternal support obscures is the extent of the policy differences between the two. Despite his reputation for moderation, on issue after issue Jeb has taken positions that are significantly to the right of his brother's and of every other president in recent memory.

Jeb’s problems are self-inflicted. He attacked Governor Brewer for trying to do something about the border. He attacked tea party folk, attacked conservatives, and said he’d win without them.
The fact that he is not a shoo-in is his own doing. Did he show up at any tea party rallies? I don’t think so. Trump should have no chance, and yet he is winning simply because he promised to do something about the border. Thats pretty simple. When he sees Trump’s crowds he should think, that should be me. If only he wasn’t an open-borders squish.

Genuine Conservatives don’t run for office saying they’ll win without the Conservative vote.
This op-ed must be for the low info voter

"NO ONE WANTS ANOTHER CLINTON!" Hillary will pull at least 55 million votes. That's a lot of "no one's". Just sayin'.
Depends on what the definition of "one" is.

IF TRUE, so what?
That ship has long sailed.

How many well connected insider Republicans will be supporting Hillary among those you mentioned?
Will that be their ultimate weapon to stop Trump?

This must be from the comics section of the Chicago Tribune.

Of course - that’s why his campaign bragged that they intended to ignore the conservative base, and just win the nomination by raising more money than anyone else.

So?
We all knew W was a liberal when he was running: advocate of Amnesty and open borders (one benefit of 9-11 was that it forced him to squash his promise to Calderon to grant universal amnesty), and big Government (so called 'Compassionate Conservatism'). He was a mid 1960s style Democrat. Loved Big Government, but still loved America. The 21st Century version of the Democrat is: love Big Government/hate America.

I cannot wait to hear Jeb utter these words:
"Tonight I am suspending my campaign for President of the United States."

With Ramesh Ponnuru’s degree of conservatism, he probably considers Obama a bit conservative.
