I don't get why some conservatives are ok with any government involvement in healthcare. I work in the industry I can can assure you many problems are a result of the federal government getting involved, then secondary insurance companies. And, i can 100% guarantee you Obamacare is a train wreck that when fully implemented, will hurt everyone. VA, BHOCARE, even Medicaid and Medicare are Exhibit A why the government needs to stay out of the healthcare industry. And TrumpCare wouldn't be good just because it's Trump and he fights the media

The government part he alluded to, and which I alluded to as Trump not having space to elaborate, has always occurred in the United States. Most recently it has been called medicare, which is contributed to by its users, and medicaid, which is not.

“Trump was participated in a town hall meeting on the Today show, and as Rush pointed out, he was more interrupted by Matt than than he participated.

O”Reilly once interrupted him in the midst of a response, and some people on this site went nuts over the half-part that he could squeeze out”

So it’s everyone else’s fault that Trump has and does support a single payer system?? Brilliant!!

I google “Ted Cruz supports single payer healthcare” and find no support

And I thought it was just BHO’s rabid supporters that believed in “Hope and Change” Silly me

I neither said that nor implied that and I think you are an idiot and this has become too tedious to continue.

Translation: I'm losing the debate so my ego defense is to lash out first and then quit.

Look, I get the Trump appeal. Conservatives specifically, and the country in general have had it with the establishment in both parties. They see shrinking paychecks, lost opportunity, more cultural decay... I get all that and I agree. And you eluded earlier that you consider the flooding of third worlders into this country by both parties the most pressing issue. On that issue Trump is 100% spot on and that's why his candidacy is growing and so are the crowds. And Trump being seen as the outside of DC candidate is a huge plus in his favor. In fact, I do see him becoming president. But we do need to keep who he is in perspective. He is not in anyway shape or form a conservative. you cannot ignore many of his past and even recent statements and positions just because you don't want to believe them. Healthy skepticism is called for

“I don’t get why some conservatives are ok with any government involvement in healthcare.”

What do you define as “government involvement in healthcare”?

Government involvement in health care has helped develop drugs, antibiotics, that have saved lives.

Trump, along with the average American, believes and accepts the idea that when a person cannot afford a doctor’s care, and would die without it, and could be saved with it, that taxpayers should at least pay for the cost; not necessarily the profit, but the cost of that health care. Which candidate do you champion that stands before the American people and states that he is in favor of allowing poor people to die rather than having taxpayers pick up the cost? Could he be elected?

This idea of helping the helpless normally comes under the concept of: “There but for the grace of God...”, which is a holdover from our nation’s Christian roots.

And when you factor in the flood of immigration going on into this country (and now Europe) the health care system is going to collapse. Trump is the only one who has stepped forward and promised to end the flood.

No, I don’t like back and forth like this and I have other things to do. It seems like it could go on forever.

However, I agree with the rest of what you posted, except, as Trump noted yesterday, he can make plans, but everything requires negotiations.

All these precious “conservative” concepts that troubles some so much are moot points if immigration is not stopped in the next year or two. It will be all over. Beyond repair. Americans have proven over and over that they can come back from anything. But they can’t overcome demographic annihilation.

Ok now were entering some common ground when it comes to Trump. But’s let's play a game of “what if.” Conservatives decide to not get overly fired up when a President Trump, through Congress, passes some type of Universal healthcare system because he's clamped down on the illegal immigration issue and has limited legal immigration very effectively and they decide that some type of government healthcare is a fair trade although a bitter pill to swallow. Trump wins two terms and after he serves his eight years a Bush or a Democrat wins the WH plus some seats in Congress. They decide to let the illegals back in. You have a flood of illegals and a nice shiny new single payer health care to sign up for

“...passes some type of Universal healthcare system because he’s clamped down on the illegal immigration...”

1.) That scenario requires that Trump pines in his heart, above all, for socialized medicine. It consumes him and causes him sleepless nights.

2.) That scenario requires that we have elected enough idiots to vote it in.

3.) That scenario requires that Trump pines for a demographic collapse of the United States, just like MOST of the other politicians do.

4.) That scenario requires that Trump, who is supposed to have a gigantic ego, wants to destroy the United States, and his power along with it, after having been documented in print and video for the past 25 years warning against the policies that have brought us close so far.

5.) And, lastly, the MSM is on to him, and that is why they ambush him daily, giving him cover so that no one can discern his true motives.

Even BEFORE the liberal justices ruled in favor of eminent domain, Trump tried to take a woman’s property away from her for a parking lot next to his Atlantic City property.

P.S. How’s Atlantic City doing these days? :)

Shhh...
Don't tell the Trumpamaniacs that. They'll tell you he's our only hope and any positions, statements, or causes and candidates he's donated to in the past don't matter now. You must believe what he's telling you now. You know, now when he needs your vote...LOL.
But evidently, he's “evolved” on those issues as one freeper told me.

There are things in Trumps ‘platform’ that I’m opposed to, his opinion of what ‘eminent domain’ should consist of is one of those things.

However, his opinions and promises on many other things bring this all important issue of eminent domain into proper focus.

How important is eminent domain if the entire country is overrun and we are outvoted by illegals? Do you think we will care a wit about eminent domain? Do you think the illegal voters will?

How important is eminent domain if we have a president who doesn’t openly and loudly, even arrogantly, proclaim the importance of our God given Second Amendment? Will it matter at all if we get to keep those properties we should rightfully keep, but we are unable to physically defend ourselves while living there?

How important is eminent domain if our jobs keep being stolen from us by foreign governments? As important and sacred private property is, and it shouldn’t be allowed to be stolen from us by any government, isn’t it far more important that our ability to earn a good livelihood be defended from being stolen?

I could continue, but I think I’ve conveyed my thoughts on Trumps overall position on things important to most Americans.

My next post to you is on why Trump is running.

I think you might find it interesting.

Oh, forgot your question about Atlantic City. The answer is important, as it gives insight into Trumps ability to spot trends.

The answer is very short.

Trump, for the most part, left Atlanta City before the decline.

As someone about Trumps age, I find it easy to believe his explanation as to why he’s running.

I’ve agonized over the America we are leaving for my own children and grandchildren to live in and raise their families in. Most Freepers here probably feel the same way.

America hardly resembles the one I grew up in. It’s but a shadow of its former self, with freedoms, successes, and with respect from our friends, and fear of us by our enemies, all but non-existent.

Trump said he was running so that his family wouldn’t look at him, knowing he could have fixed it, but didn’t.

His own story of building the Trump Organization shows that he knows how to build great empires. Now he wants to make all of America great again.

I think we are but the lucky side beneficiaries.

“..You must believe what he’s telling you now. ..”

What I believe is that Trump is telling me what I want to hear, but I don’t believe he means it all.

How many times have politicians promised us the world, but don’t follow through?

So why do some believe Trump, despite his recent history of liberalism?

“..Trumps spent nearly $50,000 to elect congressional Democrats, they donated only $1,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRSC)....”

more http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/03/donald-trump-donated-heavily-to-democrats-especially-during-election-which-put-reid-and-pelosi-in-power/

So much for the excuse, “but he gave to both parties.”

Is that the time he filed for bankruptcy? Just asking.

“..I think we are but the lucky side beneficiaries.”

I don’t feel so lucky, as I think Trump would be a control freak, although not nearly as bad as Hillary, of course.

When Trump considered running in the NY State gubernatorial race, he said he would not run if the GOP held primaries. As a NY State resident, I deeply resented that, especially since that is why I joined the Republican Party. I wanted to vote in the primaries.

The GOP chairman, Ed Cox, basically told Trump he had to follow the same rules as everybody else.

I appreciate that you don’t claim that Donald Trump is right on everything, and I would add that no candidate is.

However, Trump doesn’t seem to be a strong Constitution candidate when he doesn’t get the Fifth Amendment, and understand that taking a woman’s property for a PRIVATE parking lot has nothing to do with “public use.” We NEED a Constitution-loving president.

Politicians always tell us what we want to hear, so why are you certain that Trump is not just another one of those, especially in view of his recent liberal history?

Boehner told us that if the Republicans got the House, they would DEFUND Obamacare. Still waiting for that one.

I’d like a candidate who has a record of fighting for what I want. This way I know for sure they mean it.

Trump has never filed for bankruptcy.

He has used the bankruptcy laws as they are written as a tool to deal with creditors of companies which Trump owned.

At least one of those companies was purchased from a friend with the plan being that Trump would be able to save it from going bankrupt. The Banks refused to take the deal Donald offered them, so the banks ended up with only the proceeds of the bankruptcy.

According to Trump in one of his recent speeches, he has over 500 successful companies.

Assume for sake of discussion that those 4 bankruptcies were failures, and I am not convinced they were, as some of those bankruptcies were plan B when trump took those companies over. That’s less than a 1% failure, or poor purchase choice rate.

When you go to the grocery store, can you make a 99%+ success rate on your purchases? I will bet not. I will bet you get home and say “why the heck did I buy THAT?” for some items. And if you can’t return, and companies can’t be returned you throw out the stuff.

At least Trump salvages as much as he can from those poor choice companies. And I am not convinced that all 4 were poor choices. They were planned acquisitions.

The GOP chairman, Ed Cox, basically told Trump he had to follow the same rules as everybody else.

Seriously, do you think Jeb is following the rules?

His game plan was NOT to follow the rules.

Without Trump Jeb would be our candidate.

Trump is just a lot smarter street fighter than Jeb or any of the others. He may look like a dictator because he's so smart and manages to out maneuver everyone else, but that does not mean he is a dictator.

Add into that the knowledge that every other candidate has to check with his handler prior to making a move, and suddenly Trump looks like he has total control of the board.

And he does, not by dictating, but by outmaneuvering everyone else, taking two steps forward while the others are playing Captain May I?.
