The bible always uses the masculine tense and gerund when referring to God.

God the father & the Son describe themselves as such (as the masculine “gender”) for a reason.

The husband is called to lay down his life for his wife (as Christ laid down his life for his bride - the church.)

Nowhere is the woman called to lay down her life - for a man.

This is the paradigm; and it is why the west adopted the idea of “women & children first” - you see that in no other culture (of which I’m aware).

Be careful ladies what you wish for...
