VIDEO: Robbers Pick an “Easy” Target… Realize Too Late Where Victim Got Her Training

In California, two burglars had to cut through a woman’s yard after they allegedly robbed an elderly couple’s home. The woman whose property they used as a getaway path was Marilyn Williams — and the suspects very quickly realized they had chosen the wrong yard to pass through during their crime spree. Williams grabbed her gun when she realized something was going on in her neighborhood. She’d heard a commotion involving the police, so she loaded up and stepped outside.

Williams waited with her rifle, positioned to fire, when one of the burglars hopped over her fence as he attempted to run away from police. Turns out, Marilyn Williams is actually a former high school Junior ROTC member. According to Fox News, she once earned a medal … for marksmnship.

“I kept yelling at him: I’m gonna shoot you!” Williams said after the incident.

Her quick-thinking response to the situation frightened the suspects, who lost track of their evil plans. They wound up dropping not only their gun and a mask, but also a whole pillow case full of jewelry they had stolen.

Marauders are available up to .25 cal and will drive tacks at ~900 fps after a tuning, plus they have a rotary magazine.

I’ve drilled a can with back to back shots at 300 yards with mine using subsonic SKS match rounds. One of the keys is staying subsonic, if supersonic when the round passes through the transition to subsonic the accuracy goes to hell. Probably because, like pellets for air guns they have ballistic coefficients close to bricks...

“Luckily she didn’t have to shoot, or she’d have been arrested.”

True since it was California. In Texas, we would give her a medal for shooting them.

“The Benjamin Marauder is a serious pellet gun.”

I also have a serous pellet rifle. Easily kill varmints. Shoot a person and he won’t be able to climb a fence.

Self defense is illegal in California. I hope she doesn’t get in trouble.

You do realize California has what’s known as a “castle doctrine” (California Penal Code Section 198.5), granting a justification for deadly force inside one’s residence. If someone forces his or her way into your home, and you have a “reasonable fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily injury,” then you would be justified in using deadly force to defend yourself. The California Criminal Jury Instructions (CALCRIM) do allow a jury to acquit someone based on a stand-your-ground defense. The instruction appears in CALCRIM #505 and #506.

We both live here. Don’t you find the gun laws a bit restrictive? Don’t you reject how illegal immigrants
are getting so many rights? How do you like the taxes
here? Do you like Gov. Brown’s climate change agenda?
Are you a troll?

All I asked you was, how California should become like Texas? You’ve replied with a bunch of silly accusations. So, I ask again- how should California become like Texas?

I told you why, silly. Gun laws, taxes, a conservative Gov. who thinks the climate change agenda is bogus. I like Texas, don’t you? Now, I ask you again, are you a troll?

I meant I would like our Gov to be like Gov Abbott who thinks climate change is bogus. I also would like Gov
Brown to be more like this.
