Exclusive: Ted Cruz's Warning To Donald Trump: "Policy Differences" Coming Soon
CBN ^ | October 22, 2015 | David Brody

Posted on 10/22/2015 6:49:14 PM PDT by Isara

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Ted Cruz says he has a plan to begin highlighting, “policy differences” between him and Donald Trump. “There are plenty of policy differences and there may well come a time when we start highlighting those more,” Cruz tells The Brody File. “In a political campaign there are seasons and phases to it…as the race narrows down, as people start making choices, we may see some more policy contrasts.”

Cruz has been climbing in the polls and has the money to make a serious run at the nomination. He’s been courting evangelical voters since his announcement speech at Liberty University. The truth is this: Cruz needs Trump to fade to have a realistic shot. The Brody File contends that Trump’s biggest threat is not Jeb or Rubio. It’s Cruz. He’s going after many of the same voters as Trump and he has the credentials, intellect, debating skills and passion to really make a dent in Trump’s voter pool.

One other quote from Cruz during our interview:

“I think the sharpest difference between my record and that of every other candidate is that people are tired of campaign conservatives. They’re tired of people who talk a great game while they’re on the campaign trail but they actually haven’t walked the walk and I think people are looking for a consistent conservative.”

I think it’s hard for Trump not to play both sides. For all these years, Trump has had to deal with the NY liberals. He had to negotiate with them; etc.

Believe me .. there are NO REAL conservatives in NY.

He’ll make them wait in line legally. No shortcuts.

Didn’t he say “expedited”? I’m always certain I heard him say that once— or has he changed?

How do you know that he’s “not planning to offload the 40 mil just deny citizenship”.

He said people who are well qualified and apply legally would get expedited. People who can contribute to the country and not drive down wages.

Wow you are very literal-minded. Of course Cruz can’t deport them as a senator. But he’s refused to say that he’d do so if he were the president.

“We’ll have the conversation” is what he says. Well, we’ve had that damned conversation for 50 years and I’m tired of it. Time to send the invaders packing to drag down the country they came from!

Wow! Where to begin ..?????

I don’t know where you’re getting the “cheap labor express” stuff .. but I’m guessing from your union .. Right ..??

And .. since Ted doesn’t work for Goldman Sacs, how can he have cronies there .. IT’S THE LIBERALS WHO HAVE CRONIES AT GOLDMAN SACS .. and that includes Hillary.

Yep. Cruz has some good points but he needs to learn how to not come off as a used car salesman or backcountry lawyer.

Trump has played in the big leagues for decades and could teach him a few things if only Ted had the humility to learn.

As much as I like Cruz I don’t see how he gets past both Trump and Carson.

Herman Cain was leading in the polls at this point last time, on Oct. 22, 2011.

It's really early, hasn't been a vote cast yet.

Look at who funds Cruz’s campaign. It isn’t grassroots people like Trump and Carson. The vast majority of his cash comes from billionaires and that’s a fact.

Trump cannot be bought. Cruz has already shown he can with his H1B betrayals.

Well, don’t want to be argumentative, but from a business prospective, there seems no sense to deport those people, only to expeditiously bring them back. Costs million to deport, millions to process back-— might as well save the money and legalize them here, if that’s what Trump’s intending to do.

But, I have nothing against Trump. I’m sure as the campaign goes forward, he’ll explain it completely.

And Ted Cruz always intended to oppose TPP— and he will lead the fight against it.

Ted Cruz fought heavily in favor of TPA, which makes passage of TPP very easy. Of course, after Ted campaigned and voted for the TPA, he voted against it the second time when his vote to pass it was no longer needed.

It's interesting that Ted is going to fight something that likely wold not have been an issue, if only Ted Cruz had kept his flippin’ mouth shut on the TPA (or had spoken against it).

Cruz supports the expansion of H1B visas.

That’s the cheap labor express.

Do a google search for H1B and Disney for a preview of America under president Cruz.

As amazing as Cruz is as campaigner, debater and really stirring up debate, he just hasn’t registered in the polls. If he is this low in Republican primary, he wouldn’t be much of a uniter in the general election.

If Trump wins, there will probably be a big conservative shift, Cruz would be much more valuable in the Senate.

Excellent... Cruz “Show me where you bled for conservatism”!

The same for Cruz. The hell as he even accomplished in Congress? The best I can think of is the Gang of Eight fight, but then we even got lucky that the Democrats were too stupid to appreciate the advantage of mass legalization of illegals that Cruz supported with his Gang of Eight amendment. Had they passed that, we wouldn't be talking about securing the border this year. We'd be talking about granting citizenship to the 40 million illegals Cruz brought out of the shadows!

The problem is that we don’t fully know who’s here. There are tons of people with fake IDs who have burrowed in and need to be expelled.

That’s why they all need to be sent home as much as possible. It’s also not fair that they can cheat those who waited their turn.
