A U.S. Special Operations raid rescued “numerous” Iraqis who were held captive by ISIS, a senior defense official confirms to Fox News.
The official said the hostages were not Kurds. He would not comment on reports of U.S. deaths.
The official could not immediately say where the rescue took place. It’s not clear which rescue forces were involved.
Okay, of what significance were these Iraqis? Oh, yeah, they were Muslims.
Sounds like some military group did something somewhere to rescue somebody from somebody else and moved them from some place to another place.

Iraqi officials said the raid involved American helicopters, Kurdish and American Special Operations forces, and airstrikes.
The officials said the objective had been a prison run by the militants at a village east of Hawija. According to these accounts, American helicopters flew the commandos to the site.
