Soopermexican at The Right Scoop found another definitive Melissa Harris-Perry moment on Saturday morning. In rejoicing over how Bernie Sanders is making America safe for socialism (and socialist critiques of capitalism), she asked her panel why America has always been so persistently opposed to socialism. She had a pet theory. Why could that be? Racism, of course. . .
The “melting pot” of diversity has become an excuse for groups of people not to work. Is the new socialism just another name allowing people to stay home and watch TV?
They didn’t try REAL Communism (that is the pat answer naked Communists use today).
Of course they defended Stalin, Mao, Castro, Che, the No.Vietnamese, et al at the time and still do.
I’ve asked them why don’t they go to these ‘not real Communist’ nations and push for ‘Reform Communism’? Why subvert THIS country’s constitutional form of government? Crickets...
Socialism is about ownership of the economy. Instead of capitalists building and reaping the benefits of their work, somehow the society is supposed to decide what to make and how to run the economy.
In the case of this article, none of the inherent flaws in socialism matter. Harris-Perry says socialism, but what she is looking for is a system where all accumulated capital of the working is confiscated for redistribution to the non-working. That isn't socialism.
She may not get it, because she is stupid, but the people running her side of the aisle have a plan. That plan is to build a permanent plurality of non-working and working poor who will pull the lever for their slate of candidates based on what the democratic party promises in handouts. Government meddling in housing financing, the medical system, and supporting a massive influx of illegal labor are dragging the middle class back down to the dependent class.

Bernie Sanders' 'Democratic Socialism' (he denies we have Socialism in America today) is like 'moderate' Islamic rule.
Patience until the positions of authority have majority, then full tilt Socialism/Islamism. Zero tolerance for dissent.

In addition to denying they are socialist, Democrats deny that Hitler’s Germany was socialist. If they aren’t socialist, why do they care anything about the German form of government then?
Free Enterprise into ‘X’
On pages 95 and 96 of The Road We Are Traveling, under the heading of “Free Enterprise into ‘X’”, Chase listed 18 characteristics of political economy that he had observed among Russia, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain between 1913 and 1942. Chase labeled this phenomenon “... something called ‘X’”. Characteristics include the following:
1. A strong, centralized government.
2. An executive arm growing at the expense of the legislative and judicial arms.
3. The control of banking, credit and security exchanges by the government.
4. The underwriting of employment by the government, either through armaments or public works.
5. The underwriting of social security by the government – old-age pensions, mothers’ pensions, unemployment insurance, and the like.
6. The underwriting of food, housing, and medical care, by the government.
7. The use of deficit spending to finance these underwritings.
8. The abandonment of gold in favor of managed currencies.
9. The control of foreign trade by the government.
10. The control of natural resources.
11. The control of energy sources.
12. The control of transportation.
13. The control of agricultural production.
14. The control of labor organizations.
15. The enlistment of young men and women in youth corps devoted to health, discipline,community service and ideologies consistent with those of the authorities.
16. Heavy taxation, with special emphasis on the estates and incomes of the rich.
17. Control of industry without ownership.
18. State control of communications and propaganda.
The race card has been used by the hard left for 50 years to pressure minorities to leave the Christian church (Black separatist muslims like the NOI say that White man’s heaven is Black man’s hell) and corporate job/work ethic (Michelle Obama told black audiences don’t go to work for corporate offices).
You are deemed a sell-out and a race traitor.

Isn’t it crazy?!? It has become a delight when lefties deny that they are the ideological children of Hitler and Stalin... Nothing so entertaining as to watch an idiot democrat bend and twist reality beyond recognition while trying to explain how a party that calls itself the “National SOCIALIST” party is not socialist! Nothing like giving them a good rhetorical humiliation when they try.
In a nutshell.....socialism = reparations to them.
Just another example of socialists blaming opponents for its failures.
At this point in history, they’re just calling us names.
Historically, socialist detractors were shot to keep others from realizing the failure.
