A professor at UCLA School of Law, writing for the Washington Post, says the battle over the Second Amendment will be won by progressives in the coming years, thanks to a secret weapon.
That weapon is immigrants, says Adam Winkler, a law professor and author of the book, “Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms in America.”
In his op-ed, “The NRA will fall. It’s inevitable,” Winkler argues the demographic transformation of America underway for 30 years through mass immigration – both legal and illegal – assures that the fervor Americans have for the Second Amendment will eventually run out of gas.
Why? The answer lies in the numbers, he says....

Not the point, they are openly touting we will be bred out of existence in favor of a more pliable (not well educated) Citizen...
That is opposite of correct. They will want to vote Democrat because they know who brought them here, but gun rights will pull them the other way. No non narco terrorist from Mexico thinks they are safer being disarmed. The border is a very rough place for simple Mexican citizens who want to stay out of the way.
Quickly come, Lord Jesus, preferably soon.
Some of these liberals seem positively giddy at the demographic changes in America, and the fact that whites will be a minority in America in the next 20 to 30 years.
It remains to be seen what America will look like in terms of politics, and in terms of social and economic conditions for the majority of people.
Bottom line is that if these minority people assimilate as previous waves of immigrants did, then America as we know it may still be around in 30 years.
On the other hand, if we don’t see assimilation into the mainstream, then America will be radically different.
A multi ethnic America can survive and prosper. A multi cultural America will be a fundamentally different country.
There is a different between being multi-ethnic and being multi-cultural.
We know that whites will be a minority in this country within the lifetimes of many of us here. What we don’t know is what it will mean for our culture and society.
Want to know America’s future? Study Brazil or Argentina.
A right cannot be voted away. If a group decides to, all they need to do is just come take them. Should be easy.
I don’t see ANYONE encouraging assimilation! Too many have been brainwashed into believing the lie that the “mainstream” is racist and oppressive....

With any new addition to the Family there has to be a fit, and so what and how they learn and become Independent versus the Government preferred model
Invariably once you step into that position your attitude changes from a worker to an Owner and a lot of fubar goes out the window as reality sets in...

If the economic collapse does occur, many immigrants (legal or illegal) will leave as the welfare that they seek will no longer exist.
When Europe becomes more Muslim, watch as many Europeans emigrate to the US to escape.

Let the Nazis try it. Once they violate the Second Amendment rights of Americans, the U.S. Government is no longer valid. The government will have broken the contract, the Bill of Rights, that the people have with the government.

No it doesn’t! Visit Venezuela, Mexico, or South Africa. Majority Minority countries with a small class of mostly WHITE Latinos in charge of the residents of the favalas while any middle class whites are murdered in the streets by the diverse underclass!
Previous immigrants where forced i=to assimilate! There was no welfare and where forced to become American. Today we ban kids from wearing American flag t-shirts because ‘diversity’!
And because most of them have violated numerous laws to get here, they won't mind keeping their guns illegally even after voting in stricter gun laws.
The law abiding folks will have to all go on boating trips with their guns. Oh, damn I must have put on too much sun block. The guns just slipped out of my hands and into the great blue sea.
