I go to work “sick” all the time.
I went to work with a headache today.Came home with one too.
Exactly.
And for some, we were raised with the ethic of going to work no matter what, unless you were dying. You just go to work.
I hack and cough while cooking dinner for my family of 6. They eat it.
Or just because we were taught to work even if we don’t feel 100%. Imagine that. Working when we aren’t 100%. Seriously, then we wonder why we’re such wussies.
OMG How awful.
You shouldn’t eat out ever. Wrap yourself in bubble wrap.
OMG!
Bubble wrap and never go out ever.
Wear gloves. Don’t infect anyone else even those in your family.
But what if someone sneezes?
“Wear gloves. Dont infect anyone else even those in your family.”
Actually, i wear single-use gloves a lot when i cook, esp. handling raw meat. The nitrile ones are pretty much dirt cheap from Harbor Freight. Use ‘em pretty much anytime I don’t want to get my hands dirty too.
I too have walked out of a restaurant when the server was obviously sick...do so frequently, actually.
And don’t get me started on the sandwich makers and deli staff who apparently think that the purpose of food-service gloves is to protect their hands. Love it when they are sweeping the floor or cleaning equipment when you approach the counter and then they proceed to make a sandwich without changing gloves.
Another personal pet peeve: An obviously ill grocery store checker or bagger...nothing like loading up on $100 worth of groceries only to have every single item contaminated.
Blech.
I respect your opinion and issues but I really don’t understand them.
