Pray for him at any rate. May God forbid this is true.

As was noted on another thread, this denial did not actually deny. God’s will be done.

Well, he acts like a person with a brain tumor. God’s will be done.

It certainly might explain his erratic behavior and ststements. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone. He should step down and be replaced with another John Paul.

[it] is gravely irresponsible and unworthy of attention.. the pope is carrying out his very intense activity in a totally normal way"

That is not a denial.

“May God forbid this is true.”

Sorry, can’t join you in this prayer. The best I can do is to pray, “God’s will be done.”

It would certainly explain part of his weird behavior and strange utterances, and also his rages (not often reported).

I read in the foreign press that it’s not clear if it’s surgically treatable, but in any case they plan to use non-surgical means at the moment.

I had a friend who recently died of a brain tumor. They operated and removed part of it, but I guess there are limits to how much they can remove from such a delicate area. She was then treated chemically but this was only temporarily effective, and she died about a year and a half after being diagnosed.

I honestly do think more information should be provided to the public on this matter, because the possibility of a brain tumor affecting the Pope’s thoughts and actions is certainly very worrisome.

I watched my uncle die from one. Not a pretty way to go.
I pray he is spared that.

That would explain his erratic behavior and comments.

But what can his predecessors following Vatican II claim?

He has spoken of having a short time as pope. Maybe this is why.

Prayers for Pope Francis are on the way. Even a benign brain tumour can have serious effects:
