GW Bush won the governorship of Texas from the odious Ann Richards (D). She was a loud, leftist, obnoxious, alcoholic lesbian.
Bush left nearly all of her political appointees in their positions. And he basically did the same thing when he got to DC.
While GW (and the rest of the Bushies) were
“never that critical of the Dems” they were
also never all that supportive of the
Republican party either even though GHWB
was at one time in charge of the GOP if I am
not mistaken.
