“Frankly, I think thousands of heads should have rolled after 09/11.
NOBODY was doing their job when it came to national security.”

There is another possibility that perhaps there actually were plenty of those we pay to keep us safe who were on the right track, but were told to NOT pursue such for whatever reason. It’s hard to believe that there were not a number of analysts who didn’t see this coming. I think it’s more a question of who, or what powers, put a lid on it.

Trump was listening to the FBI.
A few years prior, we had flight 800 get shot down along LI New York. Moriches Long Island.

Richard Clark came out to investigate. They wanted to do anything to avoid admitting terrorism. They wanted the economy cranking into the next election.

So I think they lied. The body language stunk to high heaven.

We then had the FBI on the NYC news, telling us terrorists will hit us, around 1999 2000.

Spring of 2001, around June, I read terrorist chatter on Internet was up. Really busy, but FBI had no facts.

After reading that, I bought a hat with a US flag. I wanted to be patriotic before we got hit, and to remember the warning of the Internet chatter.

When 9-11 hit, I was not surprised.
Every weekend I put that hat on, reminding myself it was coming.

Trump was probably getting reminded by FBI people every week, to watch for anything odd in NYC.

Predicting an eventual attack on the USA by terrorists is a safe bet. Just because I predict another attack, that doesn’t make me an expert on how to prevent such attacks.

Every time I see that despicable dead terrorists face Mohammed Atta I have visions of a baseball bat whacking his muzzie encrusted head with a home run crushing swing.

I’m not opposed to that line of thinking. That very well could be true.

And yet Clinton didn't heed his friends warning.

A quick Google search for Mohammed Atta's student visa.....Note the date: 18 May 2000, when Trump's buddy Bill Clinton was still president.

So many of us on the east coast, NYC area, we knew something was coming. We knew terrorists were planning an attack.

Most had no clue. Just as they are today. They think Obama is god, so they are safe.

The prudence factor is a valid consideration, but how much did we have to inconvenience our citizens to simply say no to Saudi student Visas?

We know we have clerics in this nation that foment terrorism and hatred for America. How much do we have to inconvenience our citizens to deport men like that?

You see, I don’t buy off on the need for Homeland Security.

We could have resolved these types of issues without the things we did after the fact.

That’s nonsense > IMO.

Bill Clinton gave Mohammed Atta a visa and Jeb Bush gave him a Florida driver’s license.

Clinton opined at one time shortly before 9/11 that the greatest threat to this nation is pirating movies. Wow. Protecting royalties for his Hollywood friends.

90% of Americans were saying the same things, everyone knew about Islamic Terrorist in 2000. We had many attacks before 9/11.

That would be like me saying our economy is headed for a major crash because of the budget deficits.

Interesting article at the link. I'll keep an open mind until I hear more.

Lot of detail about those above the 92nd floor on the North Tower. Basically a death sentence and many of them leaped from the windows as they had to choose between asphyxiation/heat or plunging a thousand feet to their death. Very sad and I've often wondered what I would do if faced with such a choice.

This is the thread: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3350354/posts.... This is the ONLY correct link for donations and to buy gear/signs: https://secure.donaldjtrump.com/donations/make-a-donation/

Yes, they are tasked with that directive. They are also staffed with government workers who by nature are shirkers, unionists and layabouts. Sad but true, most government workers, even in the DOD, NSA, CIA are more concerned with the next pay raise and future pension benefits for life than their actual jobs. It may be because of the difficulty in firing unionized government workers. Remember they get paid regardless of outcome.

dear meshuge,

re ‘the white rabbits’ ... the more appropriate term, instead of an illusionist’s rabbits, is, ‘flaming bunnies’ to toss at those deemed necessary.

(coined term courtesy of author kim harrison’s ‘hollows’ stories.)

"We must have universal healthcare"

I was able to get a lot of pages from the book here.

I read what was available on his call for "universal healthcare". I had to read it twice. Heck I still might read it again.

Right off the bat he calls himself a "liberal" with regard to wanting everybody to have access to healthcare. That gave me an initial "ugh" to say the least.

He then absolutely says that "we must have universal healthcare". He even speaks admirably of the Canadian system. But then he points out that the Canadian and British systems are flawed and have financial difficultites. Suddenly he seems to switch to more free-market solutions though.

His recommendations for "improvements" seem a farther cry from the universal healthcare he mentions. He talks about reforming taxes so that individuals and groups can get the same tax breaks that larger corporations have. He mentions that if the individual got the same break, he would be free to potentially opt out of his employer plan and buy his own. He also discusses possibly issuing a $3000 tax credit for a person who is unable to get an employer plan.

He also mentions "choice", but google doesn't give me those pages so I'm not sure where he went with this. I'm wondering if this has something to do with being able to shop "across state lines".

He states that they would not want to do anything to discourage employers from providing health insurance to their employees (unlike what gov't single-payer would do).

After reading it, I got the impression that his so called "fixes" to provide universal health care were more along the lines of market-based with the government only lending support from more of a tax-deductible standpoint.

Now, I'm going into this whole thing with the understanding that Trump is a former "single-payer" guy that has since changed his views. But this is the first time I've actually read his "views". And I'm not so sure they're quite as liberal as they have been accused of.

In conclusion, I think I have to buy this book.

I’m sure there are a number of factors. I agree with your comments. There are other reasons as well I’m sure.

You know, it’s hard not to see past the “he’s a leftist” furniture, when it’s filled with universal healthcare, high tariffs, eminent domain, and big govt as the solution. Sorry. A progressive is a progressive is a progressive.

Some Americans in Chicago couldn’t wait for us to get hit on 9-11.

In fact, they celebrated at church, with their reverend gleefully telling them our chickens have come home to roost.

Many scumbags in that Chicago church.
