The question is, as the other dozen candidates drop out, will their supporters switch to Trump or one of the other remaining candidates.

Cruz doesn’t need to take away any of Trump’s votes to win the GOP nomination. He just needs to pick up most of the approximately 70% of GOP voters who do not support Trump.

Those 70% others divide their support among other 14 candidates, with GOPe candidates receiving 50% and Cruz receiving 5% and Carson receiving 15%. Logic says, if Trump drops out, those 65% will find another GOPe backed candidate.
