A good geopolitical and military analysis. About as well stated as anything I’ve seen since the war started.
The problem is that no matter how sound the reasoning, expecting the American people to support and sustain such a strategy for the requisite time is going to go down as one of the most monumental miscalculations in the history of our country, maybe in the history of human war making.
Two, three years, yeah, we’ll support the troops; only a fool would expect that the voters and their representatives would back such a plan for the 10 or 20 years that would be necessary for it to really work.
Kill everyone and break everything; if the task can’t be accomplished by doing those, in a months to few years time frame with an absolutely explicit and attainable definition of success it isn’t going to work, no matter how brilliant the strategy, how heroic the troops or how grievous the event we are avenging.
“All immigration needs to be shut down to the bare minimum. There should be no voting rights granted for new citizens, only their subsequent generations.”
I’m with you on the former, but the last part is downright un-American.
We don’t have second-class citizenship in this country. The whole point is that we are all equal. That means that if an immigrant is good enough to become a citizen, he becomes 100% a full citizen.
I’d be all for limiting the number of new citizens we mint. But those who make the cut get all the responsibilities and all the rights starting on Day One.
If he goes head to head with Hillary in the general, that is going to come up, and he would make mincemeat out of her. She’s going to get schooled on what matters.
Right now he isn’t vying with Democrats. He is vying with Republicans. The Lord makes everything beautiful in its time.
There could also be a longer period for naturalization, even depending (gasp! discrimination!) on where one came from.
In the case of an Islamic country that had a monarch or dictator, the best thing to get it to be more friendly is “install and back a new king.” That was the Shah approach which worked great until people got squeamish about how the omelettes and sausage were made.
True. Our conundrum was that we were proclaiming that we were on the side of freedom and good while backing such a person. Really can’t be both proclaiming that one is better than those nasty soviet thugs And installing and supporting nasty dictators, at least not without the kind of blowback that eventually destroyed the deal
Better to either admit one is an empire, and therefore only as moral as one can be whilst retaining power OR stop playing the superpower game (which seems to be what we are doing, and I don’t just blame the current President, there’s a whole generation that doesn’t see being the world’s prime superpower as being the goal and be all of foreign policy).
King George rino Bush the first gave us 8 years William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.
King George rino Bush the second gave us 8 years of Barak hussien Obama
I cannot even imagine how horrible what ever Jeb Bush would give us after 4 years of his rule.
TRUMP/CRUZ 2016
Why I support Ted Cruz for Vice President in a Donald J Trump administration.
I have no doubts that either alone or in concert the GOP, the DNC, the media and/or other liberal Republic hating groups will, if a Ben Carson, a Rubio, Bush or even a Rand Paul is the VP, do to President Trump what they did to President Kennedy.
No one killed Clinton because of AlGore, the fear of AlGore being president was enough to stifle any thought of killing Clinton, the same with the very thought of Biden as president was and is enough to keep ObamIt alive.
It has to be TRUMP/CRUZ 2016
