Bernie Sanders Has Fund-Raiser at Fancy Hollywood Home

Senator Bernie Sanders has repeatedly denounced campaigns that he says are built around their candidates attending fund-raisers. He has insisted he will not “go out hustling money from the wealthiest people in the country,” and declared at the first Democratic debate that he is “not raising money from millionaires and billionaires.”

Yet Mr. Sanders was cheered at a fancy campaign fund-raiser at the Hollywood home of Syd Leibovitch, a high-end real estate agent, and his wife, Linda, on Wednesday night.

Tickets for the event sold for a minimum of $250. Those who spent the maximum, $2,700, or who raised $10,000, were invited to a “pre-event reception,” according to the invitation.

Okay everybody, calm down. These uber wealthy are the "good" kind of wealthy as opposed to the nasty kind of wealthy like the evil Koch brothers. No need to be alarmed about bernie being two faced.

Oh Bernie - you socialist hypocrite.

What a shame that both of our countries have allowed the public education system to turn our youth into brainless lefties. We’re so stupid up here, we’re about to elect the biggest joke to be Prime Minister. At least that will take some of the heat off of Obama - he’ll no longer be the biggest laughing stock on the world stage.

I don’t understand the seemingly conflicting elements of super rich people campaigning for Bernie who is campaigning against super rich people.

Yet those “good” kind of uber wealthy would also be lined up before the firing squads. They are what Lenin called useful idiots.

In communism, its called “First Among Equals” with an emphasis on the first part. As much of a phony goober as John Lennon could be, he spotted this among the college kids that would show up when he performed and would want to see him backstage to tell him how proud they were to be revolutionary communists. Lennon noticed they all seemed to have money, lived in the nice parts of Long Island and had wealthy parents whom they somehow hadn’t arranged to send to the gulag. Hypocrisy, thy name is the Left.

Not necessarily; remember the character played in Dr. Zhivago by Rod Steiger? He is in with the power establishment under the last Tsar, goes to the fanciest of society parties and is protected legally from whatever he does to exploit people without money or influence. When the communists take power, Steiger is suddenly the local Red commissar, still stealing, acting immorally with impunity, and getting away with it. People like this adapt; whatever they profess publicly, their interests are in themselves and protecting their own advancement, to Hell with the rest of you or their country.

Sadly, I’ve seen a bunch of these in Reno. And the “join the rebolution” shirts too. Probably they were FREE. Like everything else. Maybe that’s a way to slow down looting. If everything is free, then it has no value. Pretty sneaky there uncle bernie.

Socialism and communism protect the wealth of the ruling class. It's nothing more than feudalism dressed up with ideology. The ruling class needs a comfortable life to be able to make the big decisions for the little people.

The dirty little secret that the super rich know is that the hypocrite politicians are playing the middle class against the lower class.

The rich will bankroll the politicians. The politicians will rob the middle class give a few crumbs to the lower class and keep the rest for themselves and their rich friends.

After fifty years of the war on poverty, the government has spent trillions and the poor are still poor, but the politicians have done very well.

Always remember the socialist/communist elite leaders live as royal kings while their enslaved worker common folks barely have enough to get by.
N. Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, the old Soviet Union. Islamic Republics are a different brand of similar economic poison to the people.
