The Iowa Caucuses are losing their relevance as it is relatively easy for a minor candidate to game. In 2012, Rick Santorum personally drove through all 100+ counties and lined up the necessary number of people to stand for him. The resulting victory was meaningless as he did horrible in all the rest of the primaries. In fact, it's been a poor predictor of the eventual winner for quite some time. Even Ronald Reagan lost there in 1980.

But we all know that if Trump doesn't win Iowa, the media will sensationalize it as a major defeat and comeuppance. So I hope Trump has all the stops pulled out here and wins big.

Thank God Iowa is not a predictor, and doesn’t automatically go for the RINO the way, say, Texas does!

Lesser known candidates get a fair face-to-face hearing without having to have tens of millions of dollars. Some, like Michele Bachmann and the Dem’s Chris Dodd, fail despite working harder than anyone else.

High profile candidates can ignore Iowa and ‘win’, like McCain in 2008.
