Jeb Bush slashes campaign salaries
Politico ^ | October 16, 2015 | Marc Caputo

Jeb Bush’s campaign slashed hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries over the last three months as the struggling candidate's fundraising machine slowed to a more middling pace, new campaign-finance reports indicate. No longer able to raise unlimited sums with his super PAC, Bush hauled in $13.4 million in the third quarter of the year for his campaign. That’s more than all of his GOP rivals except Ben Carson. But Bush also spent more than many of them, leaving him with about as much money in the bank as Marco Rubio. Ted Cruz has more.

The true believers will continue to work; the job-holders will start looking elsewhere.

I wonder if that includes the little girl hitter Bush sent over to the Trump meeting? Bad form Peter!

This is always the first step, followed by the second step of a ‘shakeup in campaign leadership’, quickly followed by an exit from the race.

How many true believers could Jeb possibly have? He stands for nothing.

Can we dare to hope that Bush is on the way out? The alternative to Bush quitting is for all the others but one, Trump or Carson, quitting before Super Tuesday. If Bush stays in and there are more than one conservative still running then Bush is supposed to win because plural conservatives would prevent each other from winning the 8 primary majorities required for consideration at the Convention and Bush wiould still get his eight in the Left states like Massachusetts, though I am heartened that he is running behind in the polls in Connecticut. If the numbers begin to look bad in the assumed pushover states, then I think Bush will exit. He is seeking the Honor of the Republican nomination and assumed the RNC would arrange things to give him that honor after which he would lie down on the mat and wait for the electoral referee to say “ten.” He wants the nomination but he does not want to be saddled with actually having to serve. The RNC is frantically changing the rules even now to reach that end but the word is “frantically.” I pray they fail in their endeavour.

The best thing that could happen is for wealthy Republican donors who don't closely follow politics to get away from the bubble, wake up, and realize that these consultants are selling them a pike of crap. Anyone with any common sense can see that Jeb can't win.
