Astros great Berkman riles Houston mayor after making ad blasting LGBT law
Fox News ^ | 10/13/2015

Just as the Houston Astros are making their first post-season appearance in a decade, one of the franchise's all-time top players has made an ad blasting the city's mayor over a proposal headed for the November ballot that would allow transgender people to use the public restroom of their choice.

Lance Berkman, who slugged 366 home runs for the Astros, Rangers, Cardinals and Yankees during a 15-year career, filmed a commercial for a political action committee working to defeat the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance when it comes up for a vote on Nov. 3. HERO would ban discrimination on a multitude of fronts, including sex, race, color and ethnicity. Those opposed to the law, however, have homed in on the protections it affords people who may identify as a different gender than the one they were assigned at birth.

"No men in women’s bathrooms. No boys in girls’ showers or locker rooms”

- Lance Berkman

“I played professional baseball for 15 years, but my family is more important,” the six-time All-Star says in the spot. “My wife and I have four daughters. Proposition 1 would allow troubled men who claim to be women to enter women’s bathrooms, showers and locker rooms. It’s better to prevent this danger by closing women’s restrooms to men, rather than waiting for a crime to happen. Join me to stop the violation of privacy and discrimination against women.

“Vote ‘No’ on Proposition 1. No men in women’s bathrooms. No boys in girls’ showers or locker rooms.”

Elections have consequences, and Houstonians have brought this on themselves.

Just as the Houston Astros are making their first post-season appearance in a decade...

And ending their first post-season appearance in a decade. Go Royals.

You’d think nothing on earth could be more obvious than this. But today it’s not so. I wonder if the voters will decide it is more “tolerant” to let kids be raped by weirdos than to buck the LGBT tide.

Better yet show a fake transgender man getting dressed in drag then walking into the bathroom where there’s a young girl and people will get the message. Creepy? You bet. The homos ARE creepy. The young people fawning all over the LGBT have no concept of the depths of their depravity.

What will surely happen now is that Berkman will be labeled with all sorts of vile epithets. “Hater” will be just one of the milder ones. Because free speech only applies when you agree with liberal positions.

Lance Berkman ought to be mayor of Houston, not this pervert who wanted Christian pastors to turn over their sermons to be approved by her.

"Houstonians have brought this on themselves."

If they pass this Proposition, Houston will demonstrate to the world it has no redeeming social value. The city of Houston will become like fly-covered feces on the sidewalk of Texas.

The sex perverted, lesbian mayor of Houston is pushing this. Same reprobate who demanded pastors send her their sermons.

Houston Mayor Annise Parker has been the primary force pushing back against Berkman and the Campaign for Houston PAC. Parker took to Twitter in early October to personally deride Berkman for participating in the commercials.

So typical. According to these freaks, no one is allowed to express a point of view different from their own, no matter how politely or how logically they express their viewpoint.

The only reason that lesbo is the mayor in the first place is because she is hispanic in a mostly hispanic city. I seriously doubt that most of those that voted her in knew she was a homo.

Interesting that in order to get people’s attention, the threat to young girls just may be the item to break the PC barrier. It is unfortunate that the same consideration is not allow for boys in their dressing rooms.

When progressives embraced PC language and hate crimes, they threw out all common sense and decency.

This isn’t the proposition that passed, then reported failed by the LGBT politicos in Houston?

The court ruled that the proposition had indeed enough signatures and that the city had to put it up for vote posthaste.

But they tried to turn the question into a negative affirmation type vote, and the court again ordered a plain language bill.

This does not sound like a plain language bill.

You’re right, it doesn’t sound like a plain language bill.

This mayor is still playing games. She has wicked ways.

When is this woman’s term up?!
