Panic strikes school after student says ‘gum’

YLE, Texas – Emotions are on a hair trigger in schools these days.
So much so, just hearing the word “gum” can cause a school-wide freak-out, as evidenced by an episode Wednesday.
A student at Lehman High School student reportedly asked for some chewing gum, but another student thought the student said “gun,” KCEN reports.
No gun was found and Hays County, Texas school district spokesman Tim Savoy insists the school was never in “lock down,” though school administrators did “hold students in their extended class periods to investigate the concern with little to no disruption to their schedule.”

Oh HELL...
I’d walk in there just for laughs now and say it, were I a student there.
In my day, the WHOLE student body (boys, anyway) would have done the “I Am Spartacus” routine, just to be smartasses.
This is ridiculous.

Very Nazi since the Nationalist/socialist (Nazi's) have done a great job programming the young Americans into running from anything that may resemble or sound like the word “gun!”
Now we as Americans will need to deprogram them and get our young children out of these government run schools once and for all!
Start with the elimination of the Federal Department of Education!

Principal needs to be FIRED (like a gun).

Woody Allen's movie "Take the Money and Run" from the mid-60's had him trying to rob a bank by passing a note to a teller saying "give me your money, I have a gun". Only it turned into a protracted discussion with the teller, supervisor and Allen arguing that the note said gub not gun.
He left in frustration.
