I’m on the record as saying that for Trump supporters to trash Cruz is counterproductive at best. Plus I *have* seen Trump supporters self police. I once listed the factual reasons I had cooled on Cruz. A Trump supporter urged me to focus not on Cruz’ shortcomings, but on the positive aspects of Trump’s platform. Words cannot describe how happy that made me. I love being part of the group that opposes trashing in any form [though I quickly add that I did NOT trash Cruz; I merely detailed the factual reasons my support had faltered, and did so in a fair, evenhanded way].
