No, high school grads of the 1950 could think and were patriotic. They had lived through the Great Depression and WWII and were still optimistic about the future. Hard to believe this whiner is their grandchild.

Then how did the Great Society programs of the 1960's become law/enacted through the consent of the electorate if "high school grads of the 1950 could think and were patriotic."

After that, more expansion of Federal agencies in the 1970's.
