A lot of touchy feely mainline denomination do gooder types who don’t know their butts from a cork pistol about politics, who voted for Obunga strictly to prove they weren’t racists, are the ones puffing Carson’s numbers. I know this because I have several dippy relatives who fit the above description.

Uuuugh, I actually cringe every time I think of these people. What... is... wrong... with... them!?!? I wish I knew.

. It is easy to see why people like him. Brilliant, soft-spoken, handsome, calm demeanor.

No, that's really all he has going for him because that's all that anybody says about him. No comment about his position on any policies, immigration, whatever.

The problem is, he is like Trump in terms of of political wishy-washyness.

Trump is solid. It's Carson that has flipped once since 2013, then again in January, February, June, July and September, all on the same topic of immigration, actually returning to his original position from years ago.

Almost as bad as nominating a third-rate actor, right?

A third rate actor who had been Governor of California. Big difference.

I’m not a fan of Carson’s as far as the presidency goes, though I like and admire the man for his faith and his honesty.

I was responding to the caustic suggestion that “business” experience is the be-all and end-all of a candidacy.

If that’s the claim, we have to go back to whom, Hoover, to find an example of a good Republican businessman president?

I run a business myself thus know the consequences of stupid legislation/regulation far more than most of our cast of lawyer-politician candidates.

But for noobs to run around sneering at a self-made, incredibly accomplished gentleman like Ben Carson is idiotic.

I understand. Ben Carson has a lot of respect from me, and I admire him as a person (from what I’ve seen and know). I don’t believe he has the qualifications to be President, but I think he has a valuable contribution to make. Even the things he’s coming out and saying right now are a valuable contribution.

I think Carson is an intelligent, accomplished, very principled man. His demeanor is that he is very nice and mild mannered. IMHO, he would be eaten alive in Washington and on the world stage.

Illegal immigration is the number one issue facing the country and Carson does not understand the necessity of enforcing the laws and reclaiming our nations sovereignty.

Agree with you.

He has a terrible blind spot, or naive spot, in some areas and because of that I hope he isn’t the nominee.
