I do remember those days when HTML code was mandatory. Mistakes and mischief finally made Jim ask John to change the programing so that it was no longer mandatory and so that some of the thread crashing problems would go away.
Those were the days when you had to work hard just to figure out how to post what you wanted.
I remember a huge Hayek chapter that I just ended up typing out by hand with all the formatting added just because I wanted to discuss it. It took me hours to type it in.

YES, that was the problem!
I hadn’t realized that the poster in front of me hadn’t closed </b> the bold font and that nasty illbay went off on me. I never attempted to make a comment again or to post a reply.
I waited until I had a computer and I think by that time only html necessary was for paragraphs and the posting of photos etc.
Poor you with the posting of the Hayek chapter. I can almost feel your pain!
