"Orange markings identifying it as a toy removed to make it look real. 12 yr old as big as an adult dressed like a gangster threatening people with what he wants them to think is a real weapon and they do."
Are those the facts of the case?

No orange tip was removed because it never had one. It was not a toy gun, it was a pellet gun. Cops were told that the boy had a gun. Witnesses from the "rec center" claim they told 911 it was not a real gun, but that info was never given to the responding officers. If the "fake" gun was such an obvious non-threat, why call 911? To get one of your hood punks to behave?

(There should be a whole lot more going on than throwing bleach, said one woman.)

The first part is... The orange markings were removed. Don't know about the second. I also know this for fact: many criminals paint REAL guns to make them look fake... Bright orange barrels, wild camo patterns etc. Cops don't have much time to asses situations in perfect conditions, even less when weapons have been altered. There are several photos out there showing this. If I knew how to post them here I would.
