I spent a big part of my high school years being “disgruntled” but it never did enter my mind to shoot a teacher or anyone else. (I’m quite gruntled nowadays, thank you.)

I am still completely DISGRUNTLED, yet I have never even considered shooting some one (whether they desperately needed it or not) at home, on the street, or the workplace.
Self defense and the battlefield are completely different matters.
