Donald Trump, House Speaker Needs To Be Tougher

Donald Trump said Friday he does not want to get overly involved in the ongoing battle for the House Speaker’s seat, but he does believe a “very much tougher voice” is needed.

“There’s so many things the Republicans could do if they knew how to negotiate and had some unity,” Mr. Trump said in a TV interview Friday. “So many times you’ll have people out there but they have no backing from the rest of the party.”

Mr. Trump did not have any names he wanted to suggest Friday to replace current House Speaker John Boehner, who announced his resignation last month.

“There seems to be a little bit of unification around Paul Ryan, who is a good guy but I would say that I have 4 or 5 people that I would have in mind that are tough people that a lot of people would not be thinking of,” Donald Trump said. “I don’t think they would have much of a chance but I think they would do a good job.” But he said he does not see the chaos in the House as a huge issue for the GOP presidential race.

“I think that we are who we are, we are out campaigning. There are now 16 of us left. That’s a lot of people with one left and another one is going to be leaving pretty soon from what I hear and probably a lot will be leaving soon but we’re a little bit on our own. We are in our own orbit.”

He thinks that Sen. Rand Paul (KY) will be out of the race soon.

“I think he has to go back to the people of Kentucky,” he said. “I think they’re not being treated fairly by him and he’s going to have to do one thing or the other. I don’t think it’s fair to the people of Kentucky. A great state and great people. I don’t think it’s fair to them.”

But Donald Trump said he does know one thing for sure, the person leaving the race is not  him.

“I’m never getting out,” he said.

Do not get me wrong, I would play things the way Trump is playing things, but I have trepidation about what motivates him

We know Trump is very proud of what he has accomplished in life so far.

If he became President, he would really really want to be successful. That's one thing we can count on with him.

Cruz is a good man... but he’s not going to be President. What’s your best guess about who’s going to win?

Why do you think all this speaker stuff is happening?

It is because Ted Cruz came to town after I voted to send him there 3 farking times.

OH they hate him.

Go Ted Go!

What do you think Motivates him?

Getting Rich through Government Service?

Power and Influence?

Meeting Hot Chicks?

Living in a Nice House?

What motivates anyone in Politics?

May as well give a kid the keys to the candy store

I’m a Cruz supporter as well, and I don’t live in Texas.

I know people there that know the Cruz Family and they told me years ago that he is the real deal and smart as a whip.

In this Campaign he is not getting the traction I had hoped he would despite being the first one out the Gate.

Trump is number two for me at the moment. The Apolitical Wife and In-laws, Hispanics BTW, support Trump 100% which was a shock. My 80 Year Old Hispanic M-I-L hasn’t cast a Ballot in 20 Years and she can’t wait to Vote Trump.

They could not care less about Politics or my constant commenting on Ted Cruz. Trump won them over as soon as he publicized the Illegal Invader Issue. Interesting times.

‘Meadows for Speaker!’

I second that motion!

Plus, I wouldn’t want to be Chafetz if it happened....

Okay.

And, we could all say....

I am not being hard on the Ted.
I only ask him to back his words and not use weasel words.
He is a very capable charlatan as is Obama

Cruz is for Cruz

That is all I have to say

******

But, we don’t. We let Cruz’ words speak for Cruz, and Trump’s words speak for Trump.

We can agree to disagree, without disparaging the other candidate choices.

We can also agree to disagree on “who got all of this fire started”. I didn’t just vote to get Cruz elected, I volunteered and have donated max, to both his Senate and Prez campaigns. That said...for all of Cruz’ wonderful speeches, the American people were NOT fired up about him.

Trump is the one who’s given We the People the BACKBONE to stand up to our oligarchical DC Reps. It started with the Trump Wall...and continues with sending those here ILLEGALLY back (which other candidates are saying EITHER of these things?), to defending our 2nd Amendment rights, our Vets and fixing our complex/unfair tax plan....and more.

Before Trump, Ted was crying out in the wilderness. Now, he and ALL candidates AND Americans are being heard. Bully for Trump!

It’s nothing at all like giving the kid keys to the candy store.....Trump OWNES the candy store ;-)

He’s not doing this for himself. He has about 1B other things he could be doing....for HIMSELF....but, he sees what’s happening to this country...that he loves, as much as we do....and he wants it stopped.

If Cruz is going to shake things up, it will be in one of the next two debates. As much as this campaign has already spooked [if I may use that word?] the GOPe, they could use another jolt or two. Here’s hoping he hits the Establishment where it hurts.

Like or Hate, Nancy Pelosi is a prime example of an “Effective” house speaker.

She kept and funded the radicals, got rid of any trace of the “Conservative” Democrats, and rammed through the entire Democrat Agenda, whilemanaging the press, attacking Repub positions.

Granted, she did it all with the cooperation of an incredibly biased media, but it doesn’t change the fact that if she wanted it done, it got done, even if she had to threaten to get American Soldiers in harm’s way killed.

Don may keep things shaking but I think he is out of the gate way to early.

Meanwhile in the trenches Cruz is effing up the GOPe world
