No, it’s not really bad. Russia will be more careful, and if the Turks have the pilot, they will repatriate him soon. I doubt if they will even interrogate him.
There’s no way Obama is going to authorize NATO to do anything about this.

Why is it really bad? Putin blew through Iranian air space yesterday wasn’t it, warning no one and with US planes flying supposedly near Syria to aide the rebels.
Turkey just entertained a Russian jet earlier this week flying in their air space.
This is Putin placing his pilots at risk and Turkey teaching them where to get off, or else.
So Putin has been checkmated. Right?
