Nothing new; they made a movie about it in 1989. They changed things up a little bit - the move in the movie was to be to Miami.

The most important art of the deal is knowing your limit, and knowing when to walk away from it.

"Trump walked by two earthworms that had been washed up and were still wiggling, and he didn’t help them."

As one who transfers even dried up worms (they rehydrate don't they?) to a shady spot on cool, moist soil, I find his callousness beyond the pale.

Gee whiz, if you want to go after Trump on sports, his money spent on the USFL and Herschel Walker is a far bigger deal than a low ball offer on an extremely established major league baseball team that wasn’t accepted.

“But it was the deal Trump couldn’t seal that probably saved Cleveland its baseball team. “

No one who makes deals will ever get every deal. They are not all good deals.

Even Reagan walked away when it was a lousy deal.

I give Trump credit for not lusting over a deal.

Re)..a low ball offer….

Article says he upped it to $34M, the team sold two years later for $35.

They might have wanted more from someone who was likely to move the team. Not making a deal is not a failure of negotiating, it is simply a disagreement over the value of something. Part of the valuation can include what gets done with the property if the seller has a professional, emotional or social tie to the property being sold.

Trump should have paid more and KEPT the team in Cleveland, then he could have a YUUUUUUGE rally during the convention.

Well, if Trump had been the keen negotiator Obama is, he’d have offered them $150 billion, then threw in some nuclear (pitchers) arms.

This occurred 32 years ago. If this is all they have, Trump evidently is as clean as a whistle, as opposed to the politicians he is running against.
