Clemson University issued an apology to students on Thursday after what appears to be a small group of students were offended by an annual Mexican cuisine event put on by university dining services.

Clemson Dining’s "Maximum Mexican" night, has become a student favorite over the last several years, and this year was no different, at first.

Go to the NRA’s home page, where you ought to find a lot of leads. Are you familiar with the differences between revolvers and semi-automatics? The S&W I referred too is a revolver. Depending on what you want to do, either a revolver or a semi-auto can be the better gun.

i fell in LOVE with the M4, but i think short of smuggling it into this sewer state, i’ll never own one until i move.

I dont want to comment on the difference and make a fool out of myself lol, because i know Nothing about guns, just that i love them now.

is the M4 a military only gun?

My local supermarket has been having an “Italian” month. Their employees are wearing shirts that say “Ciao!” on them. Their website features Italian recipes, and their weekly fliers feature sales on ingredients for those recipes. I thought it was rather a nice promotion. Gee, I guess they’re being horribly insensitive, after all!

Is it still okay to ask for rice and beans as a side dish or does that make me a racist?

The High Road for general info. AR-15.com for all things AR.
Smith & Wesson Forum. Shotgunworld Forum for shotgun stuff.

In full auto, or 3-round burst the M4 is a class III item. You can have one in some states after paying a tax to the BATF and going through considerable trouble.

You can, in many states, own an AR that resembles the M4 exactly, but is semi-automatic (1 shot per trigger pull) and must have a barrel length that is a minimum of 16”. Much more economical, and just about as much fun.

Definitely multiple burst per squeeze. That was incredible. Did really well with the M4 but dont know if that counts, considering the red laser probably cant miss.

You need to get out of NY. You’ll never have cool toys there.

Also, FR is a good source of firearm info (and some disinfo too). Many very knowledgeable shooters here.

We also like to post the occasional “gun porn”.

awesome site. thanks :)

i am not working in the city anymore, which i loved. So there is no reason to stay except my and fiance’s mothers. More her mother than mine.

I dont like it here anymore and a fight will be brewing soon about where we will spend the rest of our years!!

i was thinking after I shot the M4, how does ANYONE survive on the battlefield if guns shoot hundreds or maybe more rounds per minute.

Hundreds or thousands of these guns being fired on both sides, that’s hundreds of thousands of shots!!!

how does anyone walk away??

In Vietnam approximately 25,000 rounds were fired for every enemy casualty.

In the third world, the concept of “aimed fire” is nearly non-existant. In Africa, it was popular to poke the gun towards the target at the moment of firing to make it more deadly, or the sideways gun in the hands of a gang banger.

Aimed fire, with good optics is why our troops are superior shots. Volume of fire has it’s place, but there is a limit to how much ammo you can carry. Say an M4 with 10 magazines holding 30 rounds. Your rifle can fire 600 rounds a minute (not counting reloading time).... then you are OUT.

It is easy to miss, especially when things are moving and somebody is shooting back. You make it count.

An old lawman said of the switch from revolvers to higher capacity semiautos...”Son, if you can’t do it in six shots, you might be in the wrong line of work.”

Look up Jim Cirillo, New York Stake Out Squad for some insight on gunplay.

Thanks for the insight. In that context I can see alot of shots being fired with minimal casualties.

I didn’t take into consideration that an M4 magazine doesn’t have 1000 bullets in it.

I know nothing about weapons. first time i shot them.

And I was thinking just now about BlackHawk down. the enemy fired an incredible amount of shots and couldn’t kill all the Americans.

We are still, eve with this jerk as pres, the best army in the world.
