Even worse than that. Paul (Ryan-O) lost during the VP debate to a drunk-acting, bloviating screwball named Joe Biden. Sure Biden looked like a fool, but Ryan was so thrown off by Biden’s lack of decorum, that he allowed Biden to dominate the conversation, to run roughshod all over Ryan’s crisp, tailored and dignified demeanor.
Sum total, people saw Paul as weak. Leave Paul in the back room to crunch his budgetary numbers. That is where he is most comfortable.
Neither Trump or Ted Cruz would allow Biden to do that to them w/o dishing it right back.
