I have a close friend who served with Darryl in Nam as officers, and he had nothing but great things to say about him and his nature. This guy was a rough cut but knew his stuff and called things as they are.

Issa has been blocked because he is Military and he does not stop for Obstacles like Committee members in thebag on both sidesdelayingitoff thefront pages...

Conspiracy between Media and Government, ppure and simple...

Anyone say anything, few as the Turkey who puts his head up gets shot

Until now, the dam not only cracked but water is flowing through faster and with more force as the sleeping lake of content has turned into a raging torrent of change!

Sic Semper Tyrranis!!

Both are flawed, but both are far better than Boehner or McCarthy.

Chaffetz is the better fighter.

Why would conservatives want a Republican from a leftist state to be their leader?

Sorry Issa, maybe you need to spend more time at home getting rid of the leftists that have taken over your state.

McConnell is from a dark red state. Are you happy with him?

Chaffetz became Boehner’s poodle back in January and was the one who tossed Meadows off his committee, thereby lighting (quite unintentionally) the fuze to this whole confrontation.

Issa talks a good game, but he’s incompetent at execution. His record of (no real) accomplishment says it all.

We can do much better than Issa.

The candidates all start lining up. So why isn’t there a vote, Mr. Boner? What are you waiting for?

Exactly! What on earth is the political advantage in that? There is no electoral value in it whatsoever.

The Stupid Party is what it is. And thus it shall always be.

Obama-supporter EXEMPT Boehner (D, RINO) gives Oversight "awards"
to EXEMPT Issa (D, RINO) and corrupt EXEMPT Cummings (D)
for their continued and systematic coverup of the IRS Atrocity,
the Benghazi Treason, and the final destruction of Law.

He did the investigations, submitted excellent reports with strong recommendations which were shelved by Boehner and the GOPe.

He was just one congressman. As a speaker he could act on the committee recommendations.

Gowdy is ideologically similar to Issa, but smarter, and a more effective fighter.

Both Issa and Chaffetz are 100% pro amnesty. That disqualifies them right off the bat

Issa in Vietnam? Not according to his service record, nor his own embellished/disputed claims:

Issa's Army record in doubt

Issa himself never claimed 'Nam service. But he did claim he worked for Nixon's security entourage, assigned to sweep stadiums before the 1971 World Series games for the president's safety. One big problem: Nixon did not attend a SINGLE game that year.

Also:

Issa's service on the bomb squad was marred by a bad conduct rating, a demotion and allegations that he had stolen a fellow soldier's car.

About that car:

A fellow soldier from that time, Jay Bergey, claimed that Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971, stating: "I confronted Issa ... I got in his face and threatened to kill him, and magically my car reappeared the next day, abandoned on the turnpike." Issa was arrested, but no charges were ever filed.
