I couldn’t either, though it doesn’t hurt not to eat any meat once a week

All the vegetarians say “meat is murder”. That’s just not true. Unfortunately they haven’t figured out a way to remove the meat from animals without killing them. So at the very worst, meat is unintentional manslaughter.

I have a question. If plants take CO2 from the air and replace it with O2, and cow farts are helping to cause AGW, and vegans and cows both eat plants exclusively, then doesn’t it make sense that eating as many cows as possible and having as few vegans as possible would be good for the environment?

This mantra that cows are polluting is bull crap. They base it on either dairy cattle or feed lot cattle. Most cattle spend a rather short time in a feed lot. As with their climate model, the numbers are skewed toward their agenda.

Beef is more expensive than chicken or pork because it takes more acres to produce a pound of beef, a fact which tells us that if all 7 billion mouths which want to eat every day suddenly could afford beef its price would skyrocket or more more acres would have to be devoted to raising cows and fewer and fewer desirable and arable land sections would be available for human habitation, for cultivation or for pigs and chickens, Parks and Recreation, timber production, watersheds.

Something to consider for those who advocate mindlessly expanding population through unrestricted immigration or otherwise thus unavoidably intensifying population density. Conservatives are aware that there is an inverse relationship between population and liberty, especially between population density and liberty.

Caveat: there is a world of difference between deploring population growth and advocating restricting birthrates or abortion. Such a policy is raw tyranny and should be opposed. Equally should mindlessly seeking to shore up Social Security with population growth, that is to resort to a Ponzi scheme to bail out a Ponzi scheme. Likewise, to advocate population growth to sustain an economy in a globalized world, in an increasingly automated world, in a world of drones and robots, is obviously to go in the wrong direction.

A “war on meat” would not be successful in Texas. It’s beef country!

“With hamburger at $7 a pound “

You need to shop somewhere else. About half that for good quality product (not the cheap 20% fat stuff) where I am.

Most vegetarians/vegans are leftists. And they all say we're just animals like other animals. Well then, other animals, carnivores, eat meat. It's how they survive. Nobody criticizes lions, tigers, bears, wolves, etc. for eating meat.

If we're like other carnivores, why is it bad for us to eat meat? Like Cupp said, our bodies are designed to eat meat: enzymes, incisors, and the instinct to hunt. Even if, like me, we do our hunting in grocery stores, we still have the hunting instinct.
