Yes. Skarlatos himself told interviewers that he learned of the shooting during a practice session for "DWTS" so I highly doubt he had classes scheduled there that day. In fact another poster mentioned that he isn't registered for the current semester, also because of the TV show gig.
On Monday Alex said that had he not been on Dancing he would have been in that building at that time because before the show he had registered for classes and one of then was in that building at that time.

The shooter had only 2 Facebook friends — and one of them was a Jihadi.
He very well could have heard that Alex was enrolled in a particular class there, but heard nothing of the DWTS gig. And he obviously was not a pop-culture follower....
And another thing — he asked people their religion so he would not accidentally shoot a Muslim — count on it.
The other poster (al_c) actually said: He was enrolled for the semester but dropped because of Dancing With the Stars.
So if a jihadi did a half-bassed search for where he was supposed to be it's at least plausible they'd find his class schedule and look no further. They'd know he was supposed to be in a class in that building.
