McCarthy exit baffles conservatives who were ready to deal

Conservatives were ready to negotiate a deal with Kevin McCarthy to perhaps deliver the votes that would make him the next House Speaker when he suddenly dropped out of the race Thursday.

"I was surprised as anybody that he pulled out," said Rep Raul Labrador, R-Idaho.

Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-S.C., another conservative, said he spoke to McCarthy just minutes before the announcement, but McCarthy didn't breathe a word about dropping out. But instead of getting a conservative pitch from McCarthy, he announced he wasn't the right person for the job.

"We are just as stunned as you are," Mulvaney said after the announcement.

A vasectomy will fix the need to do that.

The bigger problem is that the “conservatives” we’re ready to settle for McCarthy.

Exactly. Bears repeating--especially to our congressional reps, if we're in an R district.

Another group of phony “conservatives” heard from. They were ready to cut some deals, of course…just like Boehner does with Obama.

Mark Levin dealt with this one on his radio show I think today, he is NOT pro Chaffetz at all...

What does he know we should?

Hmmm

If you go down, at least you go down fighting.

I think you've articulated the main issue succinctly and well, and if Ted Cruz would state that in a positive way and make it his campaign slogan, he'd win. How long did the moderate Republicans think they could get away with it? We're completely fed up. Fight or else go home and let a real man show you how--as both Cantor and Boehner have now learned.

That to me means it is the tip of the iceberg as it requires a lot of dishonorable stuff to happen and puts him in the position he is in now (as are MANY others in Congress)

Let us see how each of them faces what isobviously turning into a Soul Baring moment in Congress to declare PUBLICLY just where they really stand...

And I have prayed for this moment a Long time...

If you are a Christian or even understand where this end up read Psalms 37, that is all

God Bless

Something like,

"TED CRUZ, FIGHTING FOR AMERICA AND YOU!"

His website's current actual slogan is very bland: "Courageous Conservatives--Reigniting the Promise of America" Huh?

Just proves how little they know about what is going on in Washington.

If they knew then surely they didn’t think we need a Speaker who is likely to be blackmailed!

........I think we need a strong conervative who is relatively unknown but very stable and blackmail proof!

There are about a dozen republicans with a 100% score. I think they should put one of them in as Majority Leader and find a compromise on speaker while making all the rules changes they have been talking about.
